The International Sustainable Tourism Association aims to bring national and international innovations to the sector to develop the sector in line with the principles of sustainability and to be represented in the entire sector through experience transfer. In this context, as a non-governmental organization, it has adopted the principle of taking its strength from knowledge, experience, and good examples. While walking on this path, it is very happy to see the sector representatives who have all these qualities, to cooperate, to develop the sustainable tourism ecosystem with mutual experience and knowledge sharing. 

In this context, to become a member of our association, the below requirements need to be fulfilled.

• Approval of at least three members of the Board of Directors,
• Approval of at least three members of the Board of Directors,
• The legal entity wishing to become a member to present its reputation*, knowledge, skills and experience related to sustainability recognized* and approved by USTUD Board of Directors. 

Member candidate legal entities are expected to fulfil all three items mentioned above for membership acceptance.

On the other hand, the conditions for the membership processes and membership renewals of legal entities whose membership have been realized;
• The board of directors reserves the right to re-evaluate the memberships of the members whose memberships have been approved, regularly every 2 years and regardless of the duration in line with the decision of the board of directors.
• The board of directors reserves the right to re-evaluate the membership of the members in case of regular participation in the activities and events of the association and in case of repeated non-participation.
• The annual membership fee is 60 thousand Turkish Liras.

*Green Globe, Green Star, EU Ecolabel, Green Key, Blue Angel, EarthCheck, BIO Hotels, Green Hotel, Green Tourism and The Eco Sertification certifications, which are internationally recognized and recognized in the field of sustainability tourism, are accepted for membership. In addition, internationally recognized certifications such as B Corporation, LEED, Fiar Trade and Bream will provide added value for membership in the presence of at least one of the certifications mentioned above.

*USTUD evaluates the reputation of the legal entity applying for membership in the national and international public opinion regarding sustainability and the positive or negative situations in this direction according to the principle of majority approval of the board of directors during the membership acceptance process.
